Allie The Brave
Allie Martineau, MFA (any pronouns) is an artist, illustrator, and writer living in Western Massachusetts
Allie grew up in the maple forests and rainbow streets of Northampton, Massachusetts; illustrating their own stories and writing poetry. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 2017 with a B.A. in Writing, then went on to earn an MFA in Writing for Children from Simmons University in 2019. She now works as an illustrator, writer, and marketing and communications professional for nonprofits and local businesses in the Connecticut River Valley. Their work is influenced by great watercolorists like Beatrix Potter and Barbara McClintock, and too many queer cartoonists to name. Allie is currently inside a blanket fort; drawing, designing, and writing the queer novels they needed as a kid.
