Allie Martineau, MFA (any pronouns) is an artist, writer, illustrator, KidLit nerd and aspiring author.
Allie Martineau is a writer, artist, and illustrator who grew up in Western Massachusetts; illustrating their own stories and writing poetry. They hold a Master’s in Writing for Children from Simmons University, and have since worked as a news editor, children’s bookseller, book reviewer, and marketing/communications professional. They are the illustrator of Steve Herrell’s autobiography Ice Cream and Me. They are releasing a poetry chapbook HELLO DESIRE in summer 2024, and have at least three more poetry collections in progress- maybe more, they’ve honestly lost count. Allie’s work is influenced by great watercolorists like Beatrix Potter and Barbara McClintock, and every queer cartoonist they find.
